![]() Everything about these solutions is entirely geared toward plant version control on individual machines. There are like 3 or 4 big PLC version control players in the world right now. They are currently working on Siemens support, and then I believe Codesys is next. You don't have to use the Logix Compare tool, or even open Studio 5000 if you just want to look at or compare code. The big difference is that Copia has a built-in difference (Diff) view for comparing code versions and comparing branches. None of this is very interesting if you have ever used GIT for PLC code before. They are Beta testing for Studio 5000 Designer code now. They offer a desktop app for doing commits and working with your local repository, and a GitHub-like web interface for looking at your code history and branches and tracking issues. These guys are offering PLC version control with branching and merging, and all of the power of GIT.
